Weatherite ADsorption Chillers are a highly reliable, efficient way of taking waste heat from a power generation process and using it to provide cooling and, where appropriate, refrigeration capabilities.
Environmentally Friendly Refrigerant
ADsorption Chillers use ‘water’ as a refrigerant so there’s no freons, no lithium bromide and no ammonia, which means no hazardous leaks, no corrosion and no chemical testing or hazardous substance replacement, which also means the ADsorption Chiller is extremely environmentally friendly.
The ADsorption Chiller need no compressors, so there’s no high voltage requirements, there’s no high pressure requirements and no expensive frequent maintenance requirements. Because of the design and construction of the Chiller, there’s no vibration or noise- resulting in low operating costs and exceptionally low carbon emissions.
An ADsorption Chiller can produce chilled water, down to as low as 3°C, within 7 minutes, making it ideal for any application with a high cooling demand such as process cooling, supermarkets, large commercial buildings and data centres.
Reduced Energy Costs
In comparison to conventional air conditioning and refrigeration, ADsorption Chiller technology can deliver a substantial reduction in both primary energy consumption and carbon emissions. The Chiller can also operate with a relatively low heat source thereby delivering cooling solutions to a wider range of applications
